Bed & Breakfast, if you please!

London is probably the only city in the world where history comes alive, not only its streets and monuments but also in its ever-hospitable B&Bs.

Welcome to London. A world where the streets are proverbially paved with gold. And if you land in London around dawn, you may very well believe it too! For, from the air, London looks like a magical kingdom. Streetlights cast an amber glow around the city, beckoning the average visitor to set foot here. And never return.

Think of London and the first things that come to mind are the Tube, Fish & Chips, the Black Cab and then Red London Double Decker buses. But there's more to the city than meets the eye. For despite being Europe's largest city and a veritable melting pot of cultures, London has managed to maintain its quintessential British character. Minus the stiff upper lip, of course!

" The Westminster Abbey is a 1200-odd year old Cathedral that has been the venue for every British Coronation since 1066!"
Westminster Abbey Clock Tower - 'Big Ben'

The Westminster Abbey is a 1200-odd year old Cathedral that has been the venue for every British Coronation since 1066! Our tour of London, begins in the heart of the city, at Westminister Abbey; a 1200-odd year old Cathedral that has been the venue for every British Coronation since 1066! Apart from being the seat of power of the British Church and the final resting place of many of Britain's aristocracy and literary figures. From Westminster Abbey, we move to St. Paul's Cathedral, which has one of the largest domes in all Christendom. Climb to the top of the dome for a spectacular view of London city. Stop by at the Whispering Gallery for an on-the-spot demonstration in acoustics. Your whispers can be heard by a person standing on the other side of the dome. Step out for a breath of fresh air and you're at the Palace of Westminister, the 1000-room abode of British Parliament and home to the world's most famous clock tower, most commonly known as The Big Ben.

The Famous London Bridge over the Thames

A little down the road is the Tower of London, a collection of 22 towers, with a castle and chapel thrown in for good measure. A ceremoniously dressed Yeoman Warder will take you through the tower's macabre 900 year history! One of the star attractions of the Tower are the Crown Jewels, featuring two of the world's largest diamonds, the Koh-I-Noor and the Star of Africa among its many, many treasures. And of course, there's that bridge that keeps threatening to fall down.. the London Bridge. The bridge even houses a small museum dedicated to its history and explains how it works. But the view from the walkways above is spectacular and not to be missed.
